I'll start with this.
That's the Air folders only so far.
ALBS_PBY5a_shp_1.dds (That's actually an Auto rename. there's 2 files with same name one with a Big A one with a small a)
needs removed from the Air\ALBS_PBY5A folder.
B6N2.bak.tga
needs removed from the Air\ASW_B6N2 folder.
What is
ATBS_SwordfishNEI_T01.dds
ATBS_SwordfishNEI_T01_lr.dds
in the Air\ATBS_Swordfish folder?
Air\ALB_Junkers.Ju.52
Delete Junkers52.tga
Air\AFB_SeverskyP_35
Delete P-35Seversky.tga
AFB_NakajimaN_T02.tga files need converted to dds and roster files updated
Delete fw190a5.tga from the Air\AFB_FW_190A5 folder
ALBS_G4M_Betty.eqp in the Air\ADB_G4M_BettyBaka folder?

You've done a file compare to find out which of two alternatives is the best version? Or are these identical files that have been duped instead of renamed?

Some files like the Junkers52.tga have been converted to dds but the tga was left behind.
I'm only going through the base .26 files as downloaded.
Need to get it cleaned up then work on adding -remove files to it so some files in SH4 are removed when you install FOTRSU.
The NCA_Deutschland folder is a prime example!

OK.
Here's something I need to test.
In the Menu\Data\MainMenuArtwork folder of STOCK SH4
There's a lot of .tga files.
I'm going to remove those in my stock install and see if they are needed since the dds files are there.
We may be able to dump them when FOTRSU is installed.
Any cleaning out we do is a plus.

All the Aircraft folders have the needed clean out files for the base .26 mod UNINSTALLED
I've got several other folders with the needed clean up also.
The goal is to clean the mod itself before we ever install it.
Then add other fixes.

I read something somewhere about that, but I'm not sure that's the plane, but it does show a dummy torpedo in the cfg file...What I did above, as is easy enough to see, was I interspersed my comments in the -green color. I've going through the threads with all these kind of thangs, and mostly wanted to point out that AOTD_MadMax on some thread somewhere mentioned that above, as to being how he got the airplane to come down low and strafe after it had dropped its bombs. |

Your 01_Silent Hunter 4 Stock Update, "takes out the trash", in preparation for the 02_DDS Injector file(s), correct? I'd be curious if Jeff-Groves thought that it'd be worth building it up for the "Stock v1.5" people, or if there's too much "name-calling" changes in the files?...
I'm gong to try to put your stuff through it's paces throughout the day today s7rikeback, between all my other "retired dude" chores... "yes dear, be right there!"... Later };^)
