Now that CapnScurvy has gotten airplanes flying off of BB, CA & CL vessels, along with a few others, I'm wondering if it's possible to have a "normal" version of a given ship, and a plane version of the same ship (deliberate play on words, sorry) available in the ME? Like a clone, but the same flag. Different name, different type? That way, you wouldn't have to saturate the user with planes, unless you want to... We might have that, just can't tell for certain at this point. I spent a considerable amount of time going through everybody's notes from the last few days, and went through my install , double-checking what I have and don't have, and I'm up to snuff, near as I can tell, although I am nowhere near certain of that.

That should be easy enough to do, I can clone the vessels from beta v0.25 - which were not changed to the new classes.
Give me the details of the ships required, and I'll try and have something ready within a few days for you to play with.

Thank you. I've got a few things to do and I'll get back to it. It'll be the 'Stock' ships that can fly planes. I also will look at the planes themselves, so we can have their 'efficiency' tweaked with FS's & cdrsubron7's AI tweaker mod.

s7rikeback, if you don't mind then, is it possible to put a CADeutschland UnitType=7 back in? That is in stock. I'm guessing it's not there because of turning it into the Lutzow? This one is no real biggie in my book, to not have in there.
The stock ships that now launch planes are:

What would I do to re-name one set or the other, so they can both operate at the same time?
However, again, it's not a big deal if this does not happen. I don't think too many people would miss them anyway. After all, they are installing a "mod", and we could always turn the spawn rate of the planes down - I hope - and set the pilots' AI "efficiency" level lower - again, I hope, 'cause they are deadly accurate dropping bombs in FotRS U thus far... I wonder if there's a site somewhere where a person could find out how often a ship sent out scout planes? How long it took to load 'em back up, did any get torpedoed while doing that?
I'm wanting to see if it's even possible to have two similar ships, the one capable of launching planes, the other not, running around at the same time in a mission. The thing about this "idea" - if used - is that we'd probably end up having to re-name CapnScurvy's ships in order for a "stock" mission to work, and it probably is much easier to just re-do the missions files anyway, 'cause it's way easier to Find and Replace in those MIS files.
This is just an experiment...
