I kept thinking I was doing something wrong with my "scripting" because I kept getting some strange "hits" with Search (I am doing it wrong, but in other areas of non-expertise). Anyway, just a bit ago, when I gave up and started editing my results.csv files, I'm finding all sorts of "trash" left in the Campaign folders. All we have to do now is figure out what is actually getting used, and what is really "trash"... There is a group of files including: "\Data\Campaigns\Campaign\US_NavalBases.bak.mis" ... that somehow I hadn't noticed before. There is another BAK somewhere else, that I might find again later, but I just thought they were mine, but I've not messed with the US_NavalBases, nor have I messed around in either of the other two Campaign folders. Hopefully, I'll have it squared away shortly. cdrsubron7 , I do have a list I'll post later and - if I can get it to run reliably - a "script" for you to run on your SM MIS files to replace some of the ships... maybe. I cannot get any semblance of "reliability" out of what I've tried yet. It might just be easier for me to show you a couple of pictures for a "Search and Replace in Files" with the 010 Editor, since I'm not remembering much of my old school days... Which brings up the question of: What software "tools" are you trying to use for editing the MIS files?

As I've mentioned before I have no where close to the knowledge of what to do with the mis.files as yo do, pb. I've kinda been waiting to follow your lead. I do have the 010 Hex Editor d/led. I will install and see if I can make any sense out of it.

It's a regular Editor, with extra power. Kind of like, instead of putting regular 87 octane, unleaded ethanol gasoline in your fuel tank, you're putting in fully leaded, 125 octane kick-a-poo joy-juice in instead (as I used to call it when I ran dirt bikes). The machine does NOT want to quit... "Race me Race me Race me Race me " it says... Ah yesh, the intoxicating smell of two-stroke exhaust created from burning 125 octane fuel... I remember it well... I think.
