I've been using Silent 3ditor and looking through things, trying to match things up in my head. In conjunction with that, I've been looking at "models" online of the F6F Hellcat, wondering why it's not in Silent Hunter 4. But after looking at the AFB_USFighter files, I'd have to say that it's a twisted, knarly Hellcat... The tail section is wrong, the colors are wrong, and the cockpit is wrong, but if someone could take the "Glass" node and eliminate the back half of that cockpit glass, and continue the steel fuselage on up behind the pilots head, that's almost the airplane. Square off that tail a bit, and it's *very* close...
Not quite the correct wings either, but hey, close - need to be squared-off also. These puppies could carry rockets and were practically bullet-proof...
Do we have any capable "Ahr-Teests"? That's "artists" to the layperson... We need that "carrier blue" also, and one with the "camo" colours of the dark blue up top, fading to that blue on the model towards the bottom of the plane.
