I know Wikipedia is not the most reliable source, however
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_battleship_Nagato
" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_battleship_Fus%C5%
In other words, the Fuso was built in 1915, and is the namesake of it's class. The Nagato was built in 1920, and the namesake of its class.
So why do I have a call like this in BattleOfThePhillipines.mis??... ??
[Group 1.Unit 22]
Name=BB Nagato
Class=BBFuso
Type=19
Origin=Japan
Side=2
Bothe the Nagato and the Fuso were in the area, as well as the Yamashiro, but I changed NAME= to Fuso.
Anyone??
Edit: found a couple other similar ones, almost like Stock had the Nagato as a Fuso ship... but it wasn't:
Yamato Class
------------
BB Yamato
BB Musashi
Nagato Class
------------
BB Nagato
BB Mutsu
Ise Class (originally planned as 3 & 4 of the Fuso Class)
---------
BB Ise
BB Hyuga
Fuso Class
----------
BB Fuso
BB Yamashiro
Kongo Class
-----------
BB Kongo
BB Hiei
BB Kirishima
BB Haruna
from several sources

First Edit 10/28/16:
OK, by this morning, I've uncovered more issues... This I should have noticed sooner, but this is what happens when a person doesn't look closely at the details. When going through this, what I thought 'final', Search one ship at a time, I've been paying closer attention to the file names as I go, mostly because cdrsubron7 asked a bit ago what some files with "combined" in their names where. Now I've found a couple with dot "bak" in them. "US_NavalBases.bak.mis" to be specific. The difference between it and the "US_NavalBases.mis" file is significant. All I've checked thus far is the size of the files. The "active" file is quite a bit smaller, so I don't know if there was issues with it running correctly or what, but the BB New Jersey and BB Ramillies are in the .bak and not in the .mis
This also leads us squarely to the Campaign.cfg file and what is in it. I've only given it a cursory look-over to this point, and had activated a couple of the Campaign mission files in an experiment a few weeks ago to see how they ran... Detailed inspection coming up.
I'll add more to this thread if and when I find more issues. I'd thought previously that we'd just have to replace a few Type= lines for the plane launchers and 2nd class DD vessels. Such is not the case...

Second Edit 10/28/16:
Now I've found me something I hadn't known of before: There are three "Pattern" files in Data / Menu / Patterns / with a config file. They are
Pattern1.mis
Pattern2.mis
Pattern3.mis
Patterns.cfg
The mis files have a Uboat with various waypoints. The config is telling some portion of the game about them. Anyone have a clue what they do, how they're called, etc.
