Probably the biggest Cubbie fan amongst us, had a real BASEBALL game last night. Surely he stayed up to watch the Gorky Destroyer wiffle in the 9th

don't pay any attention to some of the other national "media" who claims the umps took the bat out of the Giants hands. They lost, Cubs won, that's baseball.
That's all I care about for the morning of MLB... the other teams can take a leap... well, OK, I'd like to see the Jays versus the Indians, and the Cubs versus the Nationals, with the Indians and the Cubbies going to the Series, CUBS WIN! - CUBS WIN!!! - but that's a different story...
All we need now is a Florida update, but our on-the-scene reporters don't have enough battery back-up, and can't climb a high enough tree to stay on the grid... Hopefully you folks are OK and just doing Silent Running for now...

Still alive and kickin, but just barely. I agree, it was a great game last night. As for the umpires taking the bats out of the Giants hands, the Giants struck out 6 times and the Cubs 10 times. So where did the umpires take the bats out of their hands.
Maybe they should learn how to run the bases.

... Maybe they should learn how to run the bases. That'd be a good idea, although I prefer them doing it the way they did last night. Makes it easier to let them have 6 hits and however many walks, and only need one homer yourself, in order to win... |;^)

I haven't had much time to noodle around the last few days, but gotta ask you cdrsubron7, did you watch the whole game Saturday? Team effort.

Really good series, other than the Giants play in Game 1. As I've said before though: CUBS WIN!!! CUBS WIN!!! CUBS WIN!!!
Just doin' my Harry Carey imitation...

Just doesn't seem right, having to wait another 27 hours yet for more NL baseball...
I haven't liked the Dodgers ever since they traded Sizemore to my Cardinals years ago... The Cards got the bum end of that one. Dirty deeds, done rather expensively...

You OK cdrsubron7? Some game, eh? What a pitching duel from both teams. The ending could have been nicer for us, but hey, they'll get 'em in LA a couple...

The Dodgers are starting a 20 yr rookie tonight. If the Cubs can't win tonight they might as well start making their postseason plans because Kershaw is pitching tomorrow night.
